How It Works (Formula & Method)
Coffee-to-water ratios are written as 1:X — one gram of coffee per X grams of water. The "golden ratio" is around 1:16 to 1:18. Divide the water weight by the ratio for the coffee weight; one level tablespoon of grounds is roughly 5 grams.
