How It Works (Formula & Method)
Your course grade is a weighted average of the work so far and the final exam. If the final is worth a fraction w of the grade, then the score you need on it is (Desired − Current × (1 − w)) ÷ w. The calculator also shows the maximum grade you could still earn (if you score 100% on the final) and flags whether your target is reachable.
For example, with an 88% current grade, a 90% target, and a final worth 30%, you need (90 − 88 × 0.70) ÷ 0.30 ≈ 94.7% on the final.

Tips & Considerations
"Current grade" should be your average on everything except the final, and "weight" is the final's share of the total. If the required score is above 100%, the target is not reachable with the final alone; if it is 0% or below, you have already secured your target.
